I created this blog in November, 2024. I’m Marianne, a world traveller who has lived in seven countries on four continents over the past 15+ years. I currently live in Guanajuato Mexico, with my teenage son. I also ghostwrite and am the founder of the resourcefullyresilient.com blog, and the content editor and contributor for healingheartshomestead.info blog.
I’ve always had a passion for coffee and eating out in restaurants. I also have more than 15 years experience working in a wide range of cafes and restaurants, from hole-in the-wall cafes to classy ‘boutique’ and quaint fine dining restaurants.
Few things in life make me happier than sitting in a cozy nook of a sunlit cafe, as I write stories on my laptop, sip my second double cortado, and wait in mouth watering anticipation for a delectable new dish I’ve never had before to arrive.
I have a special knack for finding hidden gems of restaurants, especially breakfast cafes, everywhere I go.
I created this blog to share my foodie passions and insider’s knowledge and advice from myself and cafe owners from all over the world.
The articles in this blog will benefit you if you:
- Want to know great cafes to go to in different spots around the world
- Dream of opening a breakfast cafe and want to get in the fast track to success
- Want tips and ideas to create exceptionally delicious ‘restaurant style”, authentic dishes from different countries I have visited
- Advice about the best equipment and tools to use in cafes, and at home, to be able replicate exceptional cafe experiences
I want to save you time and money with expert advice about what to do and what to buy. In doing so, I hope to reduce your stress, and increase your confidence that you too can cook fancy and exceptionally tasty dishes like a pro.
I would also love to cultivate and nurture a supportive community for those starting breakfast cafes.
Join me on Telegram and social media! I welcome your comments, questions, and photos of your efforts and recipe successes and suggestions!
